"The Enthusiast"

Congratulations, you've graduated from Vermont maple syrup novice to an enthusiast by moving into the quart sized jug. This is a big step in the process of becoming a true connoisseur! You may think we're kidding, but truly, we have a few customers that can differentiate the maple syrup they taste from two farms that are 10 miles apart. They claim it has to do with the soil, altitude, and tree age. We believe that ours is some of the finest. Given the age of our trees and the fact that our farm is almost at the top of the mountain, our flavor is enriched by some of the purest water in the world.

About our Maple Syrup Grades

Grades of Pure Vermont Maple Syrup (All Selections are Vermont Made and Single Source)

  • Sugarmakers Choice:

Leave the decision to the master sugarmaker. He'll select the freshest available syrup available that day. All of the sugarmakers choice selections are packaged from single source maple syrup and will be Golden or Amber depending on what we've packaged that week.
  • Golden with Delicate Taste:

Light, golden color with a mild, delicate taste. Excellent as a table syrup or over ice cream or yogurt. Before the change in name in 2015, this syrup was classified as Grade A Fancy.
  • Amber with Rich Taste:

A light amber color and full-bodied flavor, this class of syrup is the product of choice for consumers who desire the classic maple syrup flavor. Before the change in name in 2015, this syrup was classified as Grade A Medium.
  • Dark with Robust Taste:

A dark amber color with a more pronounced maple flavor, this class will satisfy those consumers who desire the strong flavors. It's great for baking and cooking since the flavor maintains its integrity. Prior to the name change in 2015, this syrup was classified as Grade A Dark.

We have been having this exquisite syrup on our pancakes for about 12 years now ever since our dear friend brought it over to us from Vermont. She continues to bring us some each year and as my son basically won't use anything else, I order it as well! It is divine and we have never tasted any syrup that comes close.
